Zinc Phosphate Coating

Phosphate Coating on Plated Bolts for Naval Application

Zinc Phosphate Coating Zinc phosphate coating was plated on these 4140 steel CT stud bolts and supplied to the customer's location in West Virginia. Rust and dirt in bolts were cleaned in line with TT-C-490 standards. The bolts, intended for naval applications, were coated in conformance with MIL-DTL-16232 standards to retain rust prevention oil. Alkaline De-Rusting was performed on the plated bolts with rust prevention oil for higher corrosion resistance. A special 2-piece inspection process was conducted to ensure that the bolts did not have rust or soil. Parts were fine-grained according to customer requirements and a mercury-free statement was provided for the plating. Government priority rating of DOA3 was assigned on these bolts and we delivered them within a week after a thorough visual as well as thickness inspection.
