Plating Services

Van Nuys Plating, Inc. Plating provides electroplating, electro-less plating, immersion plating, and chemical film plating services.

Plating Services We can plate almost all parts from prototypes to high-volume production runs. Parts are chrome plated with hexavalent chromates that conform to federal safety standards. We offer zinc chromates that are ROHS compliant.

Prior to plating, we offer pre-bake stress relief treatments to remove stress induced during machining operations. Thread masking of nuts, bolts, and other fasteners is offered to protect threads from chemicals used in plating process. Plated parts are baked to remove possible surface discontinuities that are caused by hydrogen embrittlement.

Reel-to-reel or overall application process is used for plating. Both barrel and rack plating are offered. We provide all types of finishes on brass, steel, aluminum, beryllium copper, and copper.

We test adhesion, corrosion resistance, and thickness of our plated parts. Salt spray testing is also offered. We can also repair weld parts prior to plating if required.

Packaging, egg crate wrapping for fragile items, and shipping are offered as secondary services based on client requests.
