Passivation and Black Oxide Coating of Hydraulic ComponentsThis project involved the passivation (or cleaning) of hydraulic components prior to the application of a class 4 black oxide coating. The coated components were shipped to the customer's location in California, along with coating certifications, within 2 days of receipt of order. As these hydraulic components were to be used for aerospace applications and had low tolerance towards dimensional change, we finished them to MIL-C-13924 black oxide coating standards. Our passivation services complied with AMS2700 and QQ-P-35 aerospace standards for corrosion resistant steel. Thorough visual inspection was carried out to ensure that our passivation and black oxide coating services adhered to the customer-specified QA requirements.
